Care for Your Baby
It is your responsibility to find a doctor for the care of your newborn. Most doctors would like to see the newborn within the first 72 hours after birth. I strongly urge families to select and arrange for health care for your new baby before the baby is born. This is a good way to meet a new doctor or let your family doctor know you are expecting a new baby. Most importantly, once you have established yourself and your baby in a medical practice, you are then assured of medical care should an emergency situation arise. I recommend that you take the baby to a practitioner that sees lots of babies. This could be a naturopathic physician or an allopathic medical doctor. If you have no doctor in mind, I suggest you interview several physicians in the community and then choose.
