The Birth Center
The birth center is a short stay facility designed for labor, delivery and short term postpartum care. After a minimum stay of 2 hours, you may go home any time after you and the baby are stable. It is advisable for you to have some help at home for at least a week after delivery so that you will not have to return to your regular routine right away. Someone must accompany you to the birth center and stay with you throughout your stay.
